A fiery teaser was recently dropped on July 6, 2025, for the upcoming film, Dhurandhar. Written and directed by Aditya Dhar, of Uri: The Surgical Strike fame, the first glimpse has grabbed headlines with the never-before-seen looks of an exceptional star cast, especially the main lead, Ranveer Singh. A lot of curiosity has also arisen among fans after seeing the lead actress of the film, Sara Arjun. She is a fresh face in Bollywood, however being in front of the camera isn’t something new for the actress. Sara has appeared in thousands of ads and has worked in numerous films as a former child actress.
Sara Arjun was 1 year old when she appeared on screen for the first time
Sara Arjun was born in 2005, Mumbai. She is the daughter of Indian actor, Raj Arjun, who is well known for his portrayal of the antagonist, ‘Farookh Malik’ in the film, Secret Superstar. Sara made her on-screen debut with an ad when she was only a year old. Later, she went on to star in many commercials and became a sought-after child actress for ads. Sara Arjun had become a familiar face on commercials, however she became a household name after starring in the film, Deiva Thirumagal. The film told the story of a differently abled father and his struggles with bringing up his daughter, and received high appreciation from the public and critics alike.

Sara Arjun became the highest-paid child actress by 2023
Mani Ratnam’s most ambitious project, Ponniyin Selvan I and II, made Sara Arjun the highest-paid child actor of India by 2023. In the film, she portrayed the younger version of Aishwarya Rai’s character ‘Nadini’. As per a Gulte report, the actress was earning Rs. 10 crores by this time and hence was the highest paid child actress. Through her character in both the Ponniyin Selvan films, Sara won the hearts of people with her nuanced acting and beauty. This role also helped her to graduate from the tag of child actress and led her to her first film as an adult.

Though Sara has worked in many films as a child actress, this will be her first film as an adult. Hence, one could say that Dhurandhar will be her debut film as a full-fledged actress. Fans have been reminded of Ranveer’s intense portrayal of ‘Alauddin Khilji’ in Padmaavat and are excited to see the actor again in an unhinged avatar. Along with the lead actor, the other stars of the film are also seen in unique looks, which has increased the anticipation among fans.
