After a speedy sell-through of Caitlin Clark’s Nike Kobe 5 Protro in June, another one of the WNBA star’s rookie-year sneakers is set to arrive at retail soon.

This time, it’s the Nike Kobe 6 Protro model that gets the Clark PE treatment, albeit in a far different look than the Indiana Fever-themed colorway seen on the Kobe 5. Instead, an icy combination of Light Armory Blue/White/Baltic Blue adorns the scale-covered upper.

When asked which Kobe sneaker was her favorite during 2024’s WNBA All-Star event, Clark named the Kobe 6. “I’m a Kobe person, everybody knows that,” Clark said. “It’s the best shoe, it’s not even close. I probably like the Kobe 6s the best, which are the ones I have on right now. I like the 5s as well, but the 6s are kind of my thing.”

Clark has had several other exclusive Kobe sneakers including a recent “Rookie of the Year” Kobe 5 Protro. As of publishing, it doesn’t appear there are plans to release more of Clark’s Kobe styles beyond the Light Armory Blue pair pictured here.

While Clark’s Kobe PEs are in the spotlight at the moment, it won’t be long before she receives a signature sneaker of her own. Industry insider Nick DePaula told Front Office Sports Wednesday that Clark’s debut shoe is slated to arrive in the spring and that he thinks it has the potential to become a $100 million business for Nike, Inc. “It could become a top five signature franchise across basketball,” DePaula said.

Nike announced its signing of Clark in April 2024. The eight-year deal is reportedly worth $28 million.
