    US eyes AI chip curbs on Malaysia, Thailand over China concerns – Times of India

    Trump administration is planning new restrictions on the export of AI chips, such as those from Nvidia, to Malaysia and Thailand over concerns that the technology could be diverted to China, Bloomberg News reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter. The draft rule from the commerce department is not yet finalised and could still change, the report said. The US department of commerce did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
