According to several reports, Mustufa was married to a woman named Ayesha before he met Priyamani. The couple reportedly met during an IPL match in Bengaluru, and their friendship grew over the years. However, it was during an episode of D2: D 4 Dance on July 6, 2015, that Priyamani expressed her love for Mustufa.
Soon after, during the finale of the show, Mustufa proposed to Priyamani. The duo officially got engaged on May 27, 2016, in the presence of their family and friends in Bengaluru. However, their peace was short-lived as soon after, Mustufa’s first wife, Ayesha, made some serious allegations against the businessman. Ayesha claimed that when Mustufa married Priyamani, he was not legally divorced from Ayesha, hence making their marriage ‘invalid’. Mustufa Raj’s alleged involvement in a Rs. 2.5 crore fraud case
It was in 2019 when Mustufa Raj’s name made headlines for his alleged involvement in a Rs. 2.5 crore fraud case. According to reports, a person named Praveen Shyam Sethi has registered a case against Bollywood producer, Boney Kapoor and Celebrity Cricket League director, Pawan Jangid. Praveen stated that Pawan approached him in 2018 and informed him that the Celebrity Cricket League would be held in Jaipur, with several Bollywood actors participating in the league. He assured him that Boney and Mustufa would also partner in the league and took investments of Rs. 67 lakhs from Praveen and Rs. 32 lakhs from Praveen’s friend.
However, the league never materialised, and Pawan refused to repay the money. Nonetheless, months later in September 2019, Boney Kapoor’s legal team confirmed that the FIR was declared invalid against the producer, but the names of Mustufa and Pawan were still not cleared. There have been no updates on the case ever since.
