Baby, there’s no more “fireworks” for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom.
In a joint statement issued Thursday, the two confirmed their split following months of speculation.
“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting,” their reps said in a statement given to Page Six. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
The pop star, 40, and actor, 48, were together for nine years, but tongues have been wagging since it was reported that Bloom was attending Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s Venice wedding solo.
Bloom made further headlines when he was photographed taking a stroll in the Italian city with newly single movie star Sydney Sweeney.
“It was probably good for Orlando to get away and enjoy some space from it all,” a source close to Perry told Page Six.
Reps for Bloom and Perry did not immediately return The Post’s request for comment.
The “Fireworks” singer and “Pirates of the Caribbean” star met in 2016 at a Golden Globes afterparty.
“I had my security guard grab 10 In-N-Out [Burger] and all of a sudden I see my [future] boyfriend’s hand — he wasn’t even sitting at our table — he just swoops in and he grabs it and I was like, ‘Hey that’s my burger!’” Perry said on “American Idol” in 2019.
A few weeks later at a birthday party in February 2016, Bloom introduced Perry to his son, Flynn, 14, from his previous relationship with model Miranda Kerr.
In 2017, after 10 months of dating, Perry and Bloom decided to call off their relationship. Their reps said they needed time apart. The two stayed friends and officially got back together in 2018.
On Valentine’s Day in 2019, Bloom asked Perry to marry him. She said “yes” and posted a photo flaunting her daisy-shaped engagement ring with a ruby gemstone in the center. “Full bloom,” she captioned the shot. The two never married.
In August of 2020, the pair welcomed their first and only child together, Daisy Bloom.
Over the years, Bloom and Perry have been candid about some of the challenges they’ve faced.
In a 2018 interview with the Times of London, Bloom, who was starring in “Killer Joe” on the West End at the time, said he and Perry had a “really remarkable connection” but added, “It’s difficult. She’s on tour, I’m doing a play, everything evolves. I have a lot of respect for her and a lot of deep feelings. So we will see.”
In February 2023, they embarked on a three-month sobriety pact together.
“It was an opportunity to reset,” Perry told People.
In September 2024, Perry opened up about her relationship in an interview with Alex Cooper for the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. She admitted that she and Bloom do “a lot of couples therapy” and cheekily noted that she rewarded him with oral sex when he stepped up to do house chores.
Perry also revealed to Cooper that she is “no longer attracted to narcissists” and instead looks for loyalty, presence, humor, lightheartedness, problem-solving, playfulness and adventure.
They “Teenage Dream” star was married to Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012. They met filming 2010’s “Get Him to the Greek” and got engaged after just four months of dating. She told Vogue their relationship ended after he texted her on New Year’s Eve 2011 saying he was divorcing her. That was the last time she heard from him, she claimed.
“Their breakup made sense to me. Russell is extremely intelligent and challenging. He was so passionate about his thoughts. Katy is very intelligent, but Russell is a very out there guy. Katy really likes her privacy. For them, it was wrong time, wrong place,” the source close to Perry said.
In April, Brand was hit with charges of rape, indecent assault, oral rape and two counts of sexual assault, according to the Metropolitan Police with the alleged offenses tied to four separate women between 1999 and 2005.
The comedian-turned-wellness guru pleaded not guilty in a London court in a pre-trial hearing at the end of May. His trial is set to be held in June 2026.
Reports have said that Bloom and Perry split in June, but there were hints earlier in the year that something was amiss.
In April in Mexico City for her Lifetimes Tour, Perry cried on stage while was singing the lyrics to her hit “Resilient,” as seen in a video that has resurfaced on social media.
Some sources have suggested to Page Six that Bloom was “unapologetically” flirting with women in Miami months ago, but insiders insist the movie star and Perry were already broken up.
At the Bezos wedding in June, a source told Page Six that Bloom “was having a blast” and telling people he needed to “figure out what’s next” — as if partygoers were already aware of him and Perry breaking up.
The “E.T.” singer’s absence from the billionaire’s Venice nuptials was particularly conspicuous given that she was one of the six gals to go on the highly publicized — and highly criticized — women-only Blue Origin space flight with Lauren Sanchez Bezos in April.
The source close to Perry believes the split was at least somewhat amicable.
“I personally don’t see that any malice happened between them,” they said. “It could really be as simple as two people doing so much. Being on tour, on the road, is a different monster. I was hoping they were going to be together for the long term, but there comes a point where non-communication comes into play and can take a toll.”
Wanting to provide a happier environment for their daughter was also, reportedly, a motivation for the split.
“At a certain point, they had to admit it’s better for Daisy to see their parents separately, then she won’t grow up feeling the tension and animosity,” a source told People.
But, even if the split is at least somewhat friendly, it doesn’t mean it hasn’t been difficult.
Bloom, for his part, has been sharing his pain. On Wednesday, he reposted a carousel of quotes from Swiss psychiatrist and psychotherapist Carl Jung to Instagram.
“Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate that seem important to oneself,” one quote read.
A second quote read: “Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.”
The source close to Perry said, “It breaks my heart with her having to go through another breakup because I know all she [Perry] wants is consistent love and to be heard and be felt.”
Between the breakup and the controversy surrounding the spaceflight, they added, “Katy needs a win right now.
