For the unversed, Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther won the show by defeating comedian, Harsh Gujral as the last killer. However, ever since Uorfi was announced as one of the winners of The Traitors, she has been facing extreme backlash. A while ago, Uorfi slammed the users who criticised and trolled over her win on the show.
Uorfi Javed takes a dig at users who criticised her for her win on The Traitors
Taking to her Instagram handle on July 4, 2025, Uorfi shared an array of screenshots featuring harsh comments made by users about her win on The Traitors. Netizens called Purav Jha, the real winner and labelled Uorfi as a ‘cheater’. For the unversed, Purav got eliminated in the finale episode by fellow contestants Uorfi Javed, Nikita Luther, Harsh Gujral, and Sudanshu Pandey. Following the extreme public scrutiny, Uorfi penned down a note along with a couple of screenshots. The note can be read as:
“Not the first time I’ve been threatened or abused like this but this time it’s not because of my clothes but because I won a show. No matter what I do, people just love hating and abusing. Harsh ko na Nikalti toh Pyar me andhi, harsh ko nikal Diya toh dhokhebaaz. Purav ko Jeetne deti toh bewakoof, nahi jeetne diya toh cheater. Hate has never stopped me before, it never will now.”
Netizens’ reaction to Uorfi Javed’s post
Ever since Uorfi shared the screen grabs of the harsh comments made over her win on The Traitors, netizens have given mixed reactions. Slamming the trolls made on Uorfi, one user wrote, “Its just a game. Stop making humans feel miserable for a game. Watch series and move on. That’s the whole purpose of it.” Another user commented, “You played an amazing game Urfi ji so proud of you was not a big fan of yours earlier, but now I am.” Another user wrote, “CELEBRATE YOUR VICTORY LIKE A QUEEN.” Among many, Purav Jha also came forward in support of Uorfi. He wrote:
“Wtf?? Tu enjoy kar darling you are winner mat dhyan de.”
However, Purav’s comment in support of Uorfi doesn’t sit well with his fans. One fan wrote, “@puravjha ghanta winner. You are the winner.” Another fan commented, “Aapko jitna chaiye tha bhaiiiiii. You are the true winner !!” There was one fan who came in support of Uorfi and wrote:
“@puravjha true bhai ye sb bakwas hah.Game hah koi jeetega to koi harega. Favourite nhi jeet paye to ye sb baat bolna soch dikhati hah logo ki.@urf7i ignore this nonsense.You played well.”
