The makers unveiled the first glimpse of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, on Wednesday. Excitement is soaring as fans eagerly await the official reveal of actor Ravie Dubey as Laxman in the much-anticipated epic. Sharing the initial look of the mythological saga, Ravie called the role the greatest honour of his life.

Ravie took to social media to share a heartfelt post, writing, “It’s the greatest honour of my life to be part of a story that has shaped generations. Ravie’s look as Laxman is still being kept under wraps, fuelling excitement and curiosity among fans. Social media has been abuzz with discussions and speculation about his appearance as the fiercely loyal younger brother of Lord Ram.
Sargun Mehta also praised Ravie Dubey with an emotional message, writing, “2026 ki Diwali ka intezaar meri zindagi ka sabse lamba intezaar hoga. My heart is so so full. Every time I see the teaser, read the names on the poster, my heart swells with love and gratitude. Shukar shukar shukar. JAI SHRI RAM…OM NAMAH SHIVAY.”
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana promises to be a visually spectacular and emotionally powerful retelling of the ancient Indian epic. The film features a stellar cast, with Ranbir Kapoor portraying Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Yash taking on the role of Ravan. The epic will unfold in two parts—Part 1 is scheduled for release on Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 on Diwali 2027.
