In a recent conversation with journalist, Vickey Lalwani, Shefali’s close friend, Pooja Ghai, revealed that the actress took an IV drip on the day of her death. Yoga practitioner and founder of Patanjali, Baba Ramdev, recently sat for an interview with NDTV and shared his insights on a healthy lifestyle. He stated that earlier, a normal human being’s lifespan was not 100 years, but was between 150 and 200 years. Baba Ramdev also reacted to the deaths of Shefali Jariwala and Sidharth Shukla, who lost their lives at the ages of 42 and 40, respectively. Citing his own software-hardware theory, Baba Ramdev said:
“The hardware was fine, the software was faulty. The symptoms were fine, but the system was faulty. A person should be completely satisfied in life. Your food, diet, thoughts, and your physical structure must be right. Every cell of our body has a natural age. When you interfere with it, then it creates disasters internally, resulting in conditions like a heart attack. There is a difference in this superficial appearance. Appearing to be one and being one are different.”

Soon after, a photographer page shared the news of Baba Ramdev’s opinion on Shefali’s cause of death, netizens flooded the comment section by calling Ramdev’s remarks insensitive. One user wrote, “Let her soul rest in peace and let her family grieve in peace. Stop this bullshit,” a user wrote. Another user commented, “Stop rubbish, Let the soul rest in peace.” Expressing disgrace regarding the ongoing debate involving Shefali’s death, one user penned, “Pls let her be..even vultures and hyenas don’t do this..we are killing her again and again, whatever the reason, let her go.” Slamming media, a user wrote, “Non sense hard hai yaar kisi ka koi chala gaya aur media mein mazak bana rakha hai.” Taking a dig at Baba Ramdev, a user commented, “He should first learn to talk sense and with respect!!!”

The sudden demise of Shefali Jariwala at the mere age of 42, has left the entire nation shocked and heartbroken. As per a report by PTI, Shefali’s last rites have been performed by her husband, Parag Tyagi, her dad, Satish Jariwala and her sister, Shivani Jariwala, on June 28, 2025. On the late hours of June 27, 2025, Shefali was first taken to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai, where she was declared brought dead. Later, she was taken to the Cooper Hospital, Mumbai, for a post-mortem. Ever since Shefali’s death has come to light, the Mumbai police have been investigating the cause of her death.
The initial reports suggested that the ‘Kaanta Laga Girl’ passed away due to a cardiac arrest. However, later, various information related to Shefali’s untimely death came forward. Shefali’s longtime doctor revealed that the actress had been on anti-ageing treatment for the past six to seven years. Later, Shefali’s close friend, Pooja Ghai, shared that the actress took Vitamin C drips on the day of her death. Speaking to journalist Vickey Lalwani, Pooja said:
“On that day, she did take the drip, the vitamin C. But like I said, it’s a very normal thing to take a vitamin C. I mean, we all take vitamin C, right? I think post-COVID people have just started taking vitamin C as regularly as possible. And vitamin C is something I take as well. So it’s a very normal thing.”
