Rekha had worn a mustard yellow saree with her hair tied neatly in a bun. Her hands rested on Abhishek’s cheek, who had worn a black formal suit. Abhishek’s wife, Aishwarya, was seen sitting wearing a black saree with a black sleeveless blouse, hair tied in a bun and a smirk on her face. On the other side, Amitabh was seen sitting wearing a black shirt, spectacles and watching Rekha giving his son a peck on the cheek. When Amitabh Bachchan addressed the link-up rumours with Rekha
The biggest question that has never been solved is whether Amitabh and Rekha had a romantic relationship or it has just been fans who have been mesmerised by their bond. While many have dismissed the rumours, there is a section of fans who believe that the duo liked one another. However, there was a time when Amitabh, in an interview with Simi Grewal, did address the link-up rumours with Rekha. He did share that socially, they did not have anything in common, as they used to just bump into one another at social events. When Rekha was asked about Amitabh in one of the interviews by Simi, she had a different take on the same. Speaking on her love for the megastar, she said:
“Absolutely. Duh, that’s a dumb question. I have yet to come across a single man, woman, child who can help but fall completely, passionately, insanely, desperately, hopelessly in love with him. So why should I be singled out? What do I deny? I’m not in love with him? Of course I am. Duniya bhar ka love aap le lijiyega and add some more – I feel that for that person. Bottomline.”
Rekha addressed in the interview that she did not have any issues with Jaya Bachchan and shared that the gossip did not bother her. This was because Rekha found Jaya to be very mature and was not at all bothered by any gossip. Rekha found Jaya to be someone who had a lot of dignity, class and a lot of strength, and she admired Jaya for who she was as a person.
