Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter, Shanaya Kapoor, is all prepped up for her Bollywood debut next to Vikrant Massey in the romantic film, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. The trailer of the movie received an overwhelming response, and now it seems like her rumoured boyfriend, Karan Kothari, has been her biggest cheerleader. He could not have been prouder as he took to his Instagram handle to pen a sweet poem for his rumoured love, Shanaya.

Shanaya is all set for her much-awaited debut with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan that will release on July 11, 2025. Fans have loved her role as a theatre artist named, ‘Saba Shergill’. She was first to make her debut with Bedhadak by Shashank Khaitan, which got shelved, but now Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan will make her official debut. Karan, in his poem, wrote about believing in destiny and that when the time is right, one gets the chance to prove to the world. He shared a picture of Shanaya from the trailer of the movie, with a note that read:
“The world said, ‘Wait your turn.’ She said, ‘Watch me earn it.’ No fast-forwards. No shortcuts. Just a real-life script written in sweat. Destiny winks. Opportunity and Preparation hand in hand. Now the lights are on. And the world finally sees what she saw all along.”

It is interesting to note that neither Shanaya nor Karan till now has confirmed being in a relationship. However, it seems like he is her perfect wingman and a report by the Hindustan Times suggested that both of them are in a relationship. Karan does not come from a filmy background and is the son of Avinash Kothari, who is the owner of Kothari Fine Jewels, which is a high-end luxury jewellery brand. Shanaya had worked there as a model. A source close to the actress shared:
“Shanaya has not posted anything about her beau, and it’s quite obvious that she wouldn’t talk about him. However, he has been her plus-one to many Bollywood parties, and she has even introduced him as her partner to her colleagues.”
