However, Shiladitya Bora, the producer of the film, Newton, revealed a shocking fact about the actor in a recent interview. He also praised the Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana actor and called him the finest actor in the industry.
Shiladitya Bora lauds Rajkummar Rao’s dedication towards work
In a recent interview with Zoom, the producer of Newton, Shiladitya Bora, lauded the actor, Rajkummar, for his dedication and hard work in films. For the unversed, the film Newton, starring Rajkummar in a titular role, was released on September 22, 2017. Shiladitya not only praised the actor, but he also revealed that the actor had given a shot for Newton after his mother’s death. Rajkummar lost his mom, Kamlesh Yadav, back in 2016. Lauding Rajkummar for his sincerity and dedication, Shiladitya said:
“Rajkummar is one of the finest actors we have today. He deserves every bit of success he’s received. I remember that while filming Newton, he lost his mother during the shoot. He went home, grieved, and came back the next day to complete the schedule. As producers, we were prepared to pause the shoot, but that’s the kind of sincerity and sheer dedication he brings to the work. It’s commendable.”

After the release of his film, Bhool Chuk Maaf on May 23, 2025, co-starring Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajkummar will next be seen in Maalik, set to release on July 11, 2025. Ever since the trailer was dropped on YouTube, fans have been excited to watch Rajkummar in a never-before-seen avatar of a cold-blooded gangster. In fact, netizens are in a frenzy to witness the chemistry between the actor and Bengali superstar, Prosenjit Chatterjee. Rajkummar Rao was born on August 31, 1984, as Raj Kumar Yadav in Prem Nagar, Gurgaon, Haryana. After completing his graduation at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune, Rajkummar moved to Mumbai to begin his acting career. In 2010, he made his acting debut with the film, Love Sex Aur Dhokha. Over the years, Rajkummar has appeared in numerous films, including Trapped, Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Omerta, Badhaai Do, Stree, Stree 2, and many more.
