Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom reportedly think their decision to end their relationship was “better” for their 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.

“At a certain point, they had to admit it’s better for Daisy to see their parents separately, then she won’t grow up feeling the tension and animosity,” an insider told People on Tuesday.

“They are there for Daisy and have been,” the source added of the couple’s only child together, whom they welcomed on Aug. 26, 2020.

“Daisy is their angel, and they want to protect her from anything adverse.”

The insider continued, “They want to keep a friendly relationship so each can be around her separately or together.”

Reps for Perry and Bloom did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

The news comes shortly after Bloom and Daisy joined Perry for her concert stop in Perth, Australia, amid reports of their relationship troubles.

News of the “Teenage Dream” singer and the “Lord of the Rings” star’s split broke last month after nearly 10 years of dating.

A source close to the pair told Us Weekly that the exes are “amicable.”

“It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”

The insider went on to share that Perry — who is currently on her “Lifetimes” tour — has been dealing with the split by “keeping busy” with her music career.

Things had been tense between the stars for some time as a source previously told Page Six earlier that month that Perry and Bloom’s relationship was on the rocks.

“It’s over,” the insider shared. “They are waiting ’til her tour is over before they split.”

Perry, 40, and Bloom, 48, first met in 2016 at a Golden Globes afterparty. The “Carnival Row” star popped the question on Valentine’s Day in 2019.

Bloom is also dad to son Flynn, whom he welcomed with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr.
