Taylor Swift has forked out $13,000 on a huge, sentimental item, literally.
The 14-time Grammy winner, 35, enlisted the help of her personal services company, Firefly Entertainment Inc., to purchase the 140-foot-long inflatable friendship bracelet that adorned the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans during her sold-out Eras Tour, local outlet 4WWL reports.
According to the outlet, the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District are expected to approve the transaction at a board meeting later this week.
Firefly is responsible for collecting, shipping and delivering the item, according to the purchase agreement.
Page Six has reached out to Swift’s rep for comment.
Ahead of her three-night run at the Caesars Superdome in Louisiana, Swift was welcomed with the giant decoration draped over the stadium in October 2024.
The colorful bracelet — hung on the stadium’s facade — spelled out “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour” — and required workers to use forklifts to hang it up.
Abby Jones, a sales and marketing director at ASM New Orleans, came up with the idea just one month before the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker arrived in the Big Easy.
After getting the go-ahead from Swift’s team, Jones enlisted the help of Miami-based artist Shawn Kolodny, who is known for his large-scale inflatable designs.
Kolodny, who creates his work in his Big Shiny Balls studio, immediately took on the fun project.
“It’s like a giant friendship bracelet bouncy house,” Kolodny told Nola.com, adding that each “bead” is made of nylon and is about seven feet tall.
Swift became synonymous with the use of beaded friendship bracelets ever since fans clung on to a lyric from her hit track “You’re On Your Own Kid” from her “Midnights” album, released in October 2022.
On the record’s fifth track — which is typically the singer’s most personal song — she sings, “Everything you lose is a step you take / So make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.”
It wasn’t long before Swifties began making — and trading — friendship bracelets spelling out their favorite songs, albums and lyrics, resulting in as much as a 500% increase in sales at craft stores.
Swift herself leaned into the fun, often wearing elevated versions of the pieces.
In fact, for Christmas last year, Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce gifted her a gold friendship bracelet that spelled out “TNT” — a play on their initials. The bracelet had a price tag upwards of $6,000.
Friendship bracelets also hold a significant meaning for Swift and Kelce’s love story, as the NFL star famously tried to woo Swift with the momento before they began dating.
In July 2023, Kelce admitted he attempted to give the “Blank Space” singer a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it before one of her shows in Kansas City.
While he didn’t get the chance to hand her the bracelet on that occasion, Swift decided to give him another chance after hearing about his efforts.
