A longstanding road dispute between two groups in Bihar’s Bettiah district escalated into a violent clash on Sunday. The confrontation began with a heated exchange of words and quickly turned into a brutal physical altercation.

The clash left around half a dozen people seriously injured, including women and elderly individuals. Many of the injured reportedly sustained severe head and arm injuries.

A video of the violent clash has now gone viral on social media, clearly showing members of both groups attacking each other with sticks and stones.

According to eyewitnesses, the argument soon spiralled out of control as both sides began hurling abuses at each other before attacking with sticks, bricks, and stones. Within minutes, chaos engulfed the village, and panic spread among residents. While some tried to flee the scene to save their lives, others joined the brawl instead of intervening.

Family members rushed the injured to the Narkatiaganj Sub-Divisional Hospital, where they received primary treatment.

Local police arrived at the spot soon after receiving information and managed to bring the situation under control. Authorities assured strict action against those found guilty after an investigation.
