The alleged sniper who ambushed two firefighters in Idaho has been identified as Wess Roley. Roley deliberately set a fire on Canfield Mountain, near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to lure first responders into a deadly trap, AP reported. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office said fire crews responded to a blaze at Canfield Mountain just north of Coeur d’Alene around 1:30 p.m. Gunshots were reported about a half-hour later.In audio from the scene, a firefighter said there was an “emergency situation” and an “active shooter at a fire.”Roley’s body was found several hours after the incident but officials have not confirmed whether he died by suicide or was fatally wounded during the exchange of fire with the authorities.

Several posts claimed that his parents are MAGA supporters. A photo went viral, claiming to be of his parents, where both of them were seen wearing MAGA hats. Some reports claimed that Wess Roley was arrested last year for felony assault with a knife. Roley believed to have been employed at his father’s farm in Arizona.
