Emma Roberts and Hongjoong defied the laws of neutral tones with fiery hair colors at the Jacquemus spring 2026 menswear presentation in Paris on Sunday. The two were among a litany of A-listers who showed up to support creative director Simon Porte, including Camila Alves McConaughey and Matthew McConaughey, Bb Trickz, Stormzy and Aya Nakamura.
Roberts, famously a blond and a fleeting brunette, switched it up and tinged her mane with amber hues, twisting it in a bun in the back of her head. While the coloring is nothing new for Roberts, given that the “Wild Child” lead has been sporting the shade for months, Hongjoong recently made the switch and bleached his eyebrows, too. The 26-year-old South Korean rapper was previously platinum blond.

Both stars are among a long list of celebrities who are ditching the cherry red hair trend for this vibrant, statement-making coloring, consisting of bright orange and red tones woven throughout. The leaders of this movement include Leighton Meester, Keke Palmer and Parker Posey.
The stigmatization of dyed hair has majorly diminished over the years, after the style choice was originally met with widespread opprobrium, especially during the “golden age” of Hollywood. At the time, unnatural hair color was considered gaudy, a threat to the beloved ingenue aesthetic boasted by female stars such as Audrey Hepburn. Luckily, the late ’70s and the early ’80s helped reframe that perception, loosening the bounds of traditional beauty standards amid the era of punk rebellion. Then, as the 2000s rolled around, foil highlights, feathers and tinsel made these whimsical hair accents more mainstream.

Now, hair trends are not only focusing on a kaleidoscope of orange coloring but animal-inspired styles, too. Calico hair, specifically, is gaining momentum online as many individuals opt for the feline aesthetic, which sees the mane become a melting pot of orange, red, brown and blond. People are simultaneously following the foxtail fad, boldly dip-dyeing their amber-hued ends a contrasting color. The gradient style is anything but subtle; it’s fierce and aggressive (like the animal).
Elsewhere at the Jacquemus show, attendees modeled mermaid waves, a bespoke summer hairstyle, and elongated ponytails. Camila Alves McConaughey waved her dark locks from the roots to the tips, while Bb Trickz added inches to her ends with extensions. Others, such as Alexandra Saint Mleux and Sandra Shehab, slicked their hair back, giving the illusion they’d shaved it all off. Meanwhile, chic and effortless styling was accomplished by both Géraldine Nakache and Gillian Anderson, tucking their tresses into high-collared garments.
