Death due to cardiac arrest has proved to be a warning even among the youngsters. Over the last month, two tragic deaths due to the same reason had left people shocked. First, it was Sunjay Kapur who died due to cardiac arrest after an allergic reaction, and then, Shefali Jariwala, who was also suspected to have lost her life due to the same, although not confirmed. Every other day, there is a report about people losing their lives suddenly after suffering a heart attack, and the same happened yet again as a man from Punjab fell down on a cricket ground and died instantly.
A man from Punjab collapsed on the cricket pitch and died of a heart attack
Recently, a video has gone viral, reportedly from Firozpur, Punjab. The video featured a man named Harjeet Singh playing cricket at the DAV school grounds. In the clip, four of the players were seen busy focusing on the game. However, Harjeet hit a sixer, and while changing the pitch, he seemed to be facing minor discomfort, as he sat down while holding the bat. His teammate came to look after him, but within seconds, he collapsed on the ground. Such a shocking video again sent shockwaves among everyone and also in the sports community.
After he collapsed, Harjeet Singh’s friends arrived and attempted CPR, but he remained unresponsive. Reportedly, he had suffered a cardiac arrest and died instantly. This incident again raised a question about this concerning condition, which has been claiming lives back to back. Cardiac arrest has proved to be a threat among 20-year-olds as well, and the back-to-back cases have been prompting people to be more cautious about their health and opt for regular checkups to avoid such a tragic and unpredictable condition.
Cricketer Died Of Heart Attack
A similar incident happened to another young cricketer last year
This is not the first time such an incident took place, it was back in November 2024, when a young cricketer named Imran Patel suffered something similar like this. He was playing a match in the Garware Cricket Stadium of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. During the match, Imran struck a four, but after the same, he complained of feeling mild discomfort. Imran let the umpire know that he needed to take medicine and started walking off the ground, and even before he could reach the pavilion, he collapsed, and then he was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead, which was caused by a heart attack. Given that playing cricket includes a lot of exercise, which is good for heart health, something like cardiac arrest taking lives in this community has become concerning.
Shefali Jariwala and Sunjay Kapur’s demise raised concerns
It was back on June 12, 2025, when it was reported that Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, swallowed a bee, which led him to face an allergic reaction and then a heart attack. And on June 27, 2025, Shefali Jariwala bid farewell to the world. Although not confirmed, several initial reports have claimed that a heart attack was the reason for her demise. Later, it was added that her anti-ageing treatments and empty stomach triggered a low BP, which led to her losing her life.
