Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is performing well at the box office. The sports drama, directed by RS Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, has outshone new releases such as Kajol’s ‘Maa’, Vishnu Manchu’s ‘Kannappa’ and Brad Pitt-starrer ‘F1’.

‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ has collected Rs 108.30 crore India nett in its nine-day run, according to film industry tracker Sacnilk.

The film opened with Rs 10.7 crore net on its first day and saw a growth on Day 9, earning Rs 12.75 crore nett. It made Rs 88.9 crore nett in its first week and continues to maintain strong business in its second week. Released in multiple languages, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ remains a popular choice among moviegoers despite new releases.

The filmmakers have decided not to release ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ on any streaming platform, making it a theatre-only release. The Multiplex Association of India praised this decision, and the makers expressed their gratitude for the support.

The film showed impressive growth on its second Saturday, collecting Rs 12.75 crore (early estimates), almost double the previous day’s earnings. The film earned Rs 6.65 crore on Friday. The film is expected to cross Rs 120 crore by the end of the second weekend if the current trend continues.

‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ tells the story of a basketball coach, played by Aamir Khan, who trains a team of neurodivergent adults. The cast includes Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh, Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Simran Mangeshkar, Aayush Bhansali, Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh, Brijendra Kala, and Ankita Sehgal.
