Veteran politician, author, and public intellectual Dr. Shashi Tharoor has heaped praise on Aamir Khan’s latest film Sitaare Zameen Par, calling it an “emotional and heartwarming movie” that is both entertaining and enlightening.

In a recent statement, Tharoor commended the film’s powerful storytelling and the stellar performance delivered by Khan.
“It is an emotional and heartwarming movie. It teaches a lot,” he remarked. Known for his appreciation of meaningful cinema, Tharoor highlighted the impact the film could have on audiences, saying, “Anyone who watches this movie will not only enjoy it but also learn a lot.”
Tharoor also lauded Aamir Khan’s consistent brilliance on screen. “All of Aamir’s performances are great, so I expected nothing less. His acting was first-class in the movie,” he stated.

Directed by R. S. Prasanna, who previously helmed the barrier-breaking blockbuster Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, now returns with the biggest collaboration with Aamir Khan Productions’ Sitaare Zameen Par.
Made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in lead roles, along with 10 rising stars. The lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and the music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The screenplay is written by Divy Nidhi Sharma. The film is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with B. Shrinivas Rao and Ravi Bhagchandka as producers. Directed by R. S. Prasanna, the film released in theatres on 20th June, 2025.
