From the trailer, people got to know that Pakistani actress, Hania Aamir, has been retained in the film despite the India-Pak tension. Due to this casting choice, the film’s team, especially Diljit, have been facing massive backlash as there has been a ban on Pakistani artists from working in India, after the attack on Pahalgam, Kashmir, where 26 civilians lost their lives. Amid this controversy, lead actress of the film, Neeru Bajwa, has deleted the film’s trailer and also unfollowed Hania on Instagram.

Neeru Bajwa, the female lead of the Diljit Dosanjh-starrer Sardaar Ji 3, has distanced herself from the film amid a massive backlash from the public for casting Pakistani actress, Hania Aamir. The Punjabi actress has deleted the trailer and removed all the songs of the upcoming film from her Instagram account. The last post that can be seen on Neeru’s Instagram page is the video announcing her character in Ajay Devgn’s upcoming Son Of Sardaar 2. However, the actress did reshare a fan’s story, which featured one of her dance numbers from the premier show of Sardaar Ji 3.

Neeru Bajwa has recently unfollowed Hania Aamir; however, she was still following the Pakistani actress when the trailer for Sardaar Ji 3 was released. To note, after India’s Operation Sindoor, Hania had posted a story criticising the military operation and shared a scathing tweet about India on her Instagram. However, Neeru still follows Diljit Dosanjh, the male lead of the film, who has received the most backlash from the public out of the entire cast and crew. The pair have worked in several Punjabi films together, with their last movie, Jatt And Juliet 3, being a box office hit.
