Vipul Jain, a final-year student at IIIT Prayagraj, has just rewritten the institute’s placement record. The BTech (IT) student has secured a job offer worth Rs 1.45 crore per year from US-based cloud data firm Rubrik — the highest package ever seen at the institute.

The news has not only created a buzz on campus but has also caught the attention of recruiters nationwide.

NEW HIGH FOR IIIT PRAYAGRAJ

The institute’s Director, Professor Mukul Sharad Sutawane, congratulated Vipul and called it a big moment for the entire campus. “This shows what our students are capable of and how we continue to push the bar in technical education,” he said.
