Many people believed that once their hit shows ended, these stars would fade away, but instead, they continued to stay afloat in the uncertain world of showbiz. Recently, in a new interview, Ram Kapoor shared how these actors have managed to stay rich despite not working regularly in a daily soap now.
Ram Kapoor opens up about smart financial investments made by Ronit Roy
Ram Kapoor recently sat down for a conversation with Humans Of Bombay, where he discussed the recent debate on TV actors’ pay and wealth-building strategies. He shared that smart financial planning can help a TV actor to last long in the constantly changing world of fame, while poor financial choices can make them disappear overnight. For instance, Ram mentioned that he, Ronit Roy and Sakshi Tanwar made sensible investments, which have helped them to date. In his words:
“There were a lot of people who had hit shows, but they spent more money than they should have, and when that show shut down, they didn’t get another show. They did not do well and disappeared.”
Ram praised his fellow actor, Ronit Roy and called him an example of wise investing. He recalled that when Ronit started his journey in films, he didn’t succeed and had to face severe financial struggles. However, when Ekta Kapoor gave him a chance, he valued the opportunity and invested his earnings in building vacation houses. Sharing Ronit’s journey, Ram said:
“People like Ronit… he has a lot of houses, vacation homes, and such a fantastic villa in Goa. He has been sensible because he started in films and he didn’t make it in films. Then Ektaa Kapoor took him to television, and he never looked back.”
Ram Kapoor shares how Sakshi Tanwar spends her money carefully
In the same conversation, Ram Kapoor talked about his Bade Acche Lagte Hai co-star, Sakshi Tanwar. He shared that she is a sensible girl who is not interested in purchasing fancy cars like him. She has saved money and spends it carefully. Consequently, she has adequate money saved for her next six generations, and likewise even he has adequate money to feed the next multiple generations of his family. He said:
“Same for Sakshi. She is a very sensible girl. She doesn’t like fancy cars like I do. She has enough money for six generations because she spends it very wisely.”

Ram Kapoor made his on-screen debut with the TV show, Nyaay in 1999. He worked in multiple shows like Heena, Ghar Ek Mandir, Kabhi Aaye Na Judaai and more until he got Ekta Kapoor’s Kasamh Se co-starring Prachi Desai, which made him a household name.
