The wait is finally over! The second instalment of Ajay Devgn’s power-packed action thriller, Raid 2, has officially made its OTT debut today, on June 26, 2025. After a stellar theatrical run with more than Rs. 200 crore collection on the global box office, Raid 2 is finally making its way to the digital space, with Ajay Devgn reprising his role as the dynamic IRS officer, ‘Amay Patnaik’. When is Raid 2 releasing on OTT, and where can you watch it?
Ever since the film hit theatres on May 1, 2025, fans have been eagerly waiting for its OTT release, and today, the countdown finally comes to an end. Raid 2, starring Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh in key roles, has been bagged by the streaming platform, Netflix India. The film will start streaming on Thursday, June 26, 2025. The date was officially announced by Netflix India via their Instagram handle with the caption:
“Aaj se ulti ginti shuru. Amay Patnaik is back with a new case and the same old fire.”
As of now, Raid 2 is exclusively available for streaming on Netflix. According to reports, the streaming giant has secured the rights to stream the film digitally, and it will be the only platform where it will be available after its theatrical run. However, the release has skipped some major Indian languages, such as Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
About the sequel, Raid 2
Raid 2, backed by Panorama Studios and T-Series, is the much-awaited sequel to Ajay Devgn’s 2018 crime drama, Raid, which introduced audiences to the fearless and bold IRS officer, ‘Amay Patnaik’, as he conducted a high-stakes income tax raid in the house of a powerful politician, ‘Rameshwar Singh’, aka ‘Tauji’.
The sequel, Raid 2, once again follows Patnaik, who has now conducted 74 successful raids and been transferred an equal number of times. But that doesn’t deter him. This time, he locks horns with ‘Dada Bhai’, a beloved yet corrupt politician, portrayed by Riteish Deshmukh in a chilling avatar.
The film takes viewers on a deeply engaging journey through political threats and bureaucratic hurdles as Patnaik and his team navigate the raid to expose ‘Dada Bhai’ and a massive black money scandal. Unlike its sleeper hit prequel, Raid 2 became a massive theatrical success, and its high-stakes drama and explosive action have something to offer to every viewer.
With an Indian gross collection of Rs. 206.28 crore and a worldwide gross of Rs. 237.28 crore, Raid 2 currently stands as the third-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025, just behind Chhaava and Housefull 5.
Besides Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh, Raid 2 features a stellar ensemble, including Vaani Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, Rajat Kapoor, and Amit Sial. Saurabh Shukla also makes a special cameo, reprising his role as ‘Tauji’. The film is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar.
Given the success of the film series, director Raj Kumar Gupta has hinted at a potential return of ‘Amay Patnaik’ and his team in Raid 3, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
