Winnie Harlow made a case for summer metallics on her way to NBC studios for the “Today” show in New York City, wearing glossy gold stilettos and a leather-and-print two-piece from Monse‘s 2025 resort collection.

Winnie Harlow arrived at the studio on Wednesday wearing a fashion-forward look that merged surrealist prints with a sharply tailored edge — and anchored the ensemble with a pair of high-shine gold stilettos. The model was on set to mark World Vitiligo Day, a cause she has long championed through both advocacy and fashion.
Her shoes featured a mirrored metallic finish, a closed pointed toe and a knife-thin stiletto heel measuring approximately 105mm. The metallic silhouette, which closely resembles styles like the Giuseppe Zanotti Raquel pump or Gianvito Rossi’s pump in gold napa, offered high-impact simplicity to the colorful, warm weather look.

The heels were paired with a two-piece look from Monse’s 2025 resort collection: a structured leather bustier in saddle brown with dual buckle closures at the front, and a draped, asymmetric skirt in the brand’s Tuscan Villa print. Featuring layers of ombré yellow, olive green and sepia-toned surrealist imagery, the sheer organza skirt echoed the collection’s theme of travel and digital distortion, blending 1970s equestrian posters with imagined Italian landscapes.

The pointed, shiny stiletto is a style Harlow has leaned on in the past. At the 2024 CFDA Awards, she wore silver heels to match her metallic Kate Barton ensemble — another look grounded in shine and structure. In her eBay collaboration during the May 2025 Miami Grand Prix, the fashion curation featured Celine wedge boots and statement footwear that showcased her signature blend of style and speed.
Her metallic moment on “Today” also lands squarely in the middle of a larger trend. Keke Palmer wore mirrored gold platform stilettos just days earlier, stepping out in Midtown Manhattan in a vintage gold Versace mini and sky-high sandals with a reflective finish and razor-thin heel. The sculptural effect of the look came down to the shoes — sharp, stilettoed and unapologetically loud — the same vocabulary Harlow has adopted here.

At Royal Ascot this month, metallic footwear seemed to be the preferred option among guests seeking to modernize tradition. Gold and silver heels, from Dior slingbacks to cap-toe pumps, showed up across the event’s formalwear crowd, trading subtlety for edge.
World Vitiligo Day is observed annually on June 25 to raise awareness for vitiligo, a condition that causes depigmentation of the skin. The day is recognized globally as an effort to improve public education, combat stigma and support scientific research into the autoimmune condition.
