Popular actress, Gauahar Khan and her husband, Zaid Darbar, are already parents to a little boy whom they named Zehaan. The couple is now expecting their second child in 2025, and Gauahar is ensuring that she is working and resting equally. When a woman is pregnant, her body undergoes significant physical and emotional changes. The same happened with Gauahar, who recently shared that she has put on weight during her second pregnancy and has become an XL size.
Gauahar Khan opens up on becoming XL size in her second pregnancy
Gauahar was pregnant when she shot for Fauji 2 and did not step back from her work commitments. The actress, who is now in the later stage of her second pregnancy, recently sat down for an interview with Filmy Gyan and revealed her excitement related to her second pregnancy. She confessed to putting on weight and reflected on how she has been grateful for all the phases of her life. In her words:
“I think mei XL hoh gayi hu. But dil se excitement utni hi hai. In fact, I am very excited about this. Har baar umeed hoti hai ki aapko shadi karni hai, bachei karne hai, kitne bachei karne hai. Career bhi sambhalna hai, kaam bhi karna hai. Allahdullilah jab sari cheeze possible hoti hai, then there is no other feeling other than just being grateful. I am extremely grateful for every phase of my life.”
When Gauahar Khan had a miscarriage
Gauahar, at the moment, is enjoying the best stage of her life personally and professionally. She also has a YouTube channel where she speaks on her motherhood as well as her parenting experience. She married the son of Ismail Darbar, Zaid, in 2020 and was blessed with Zehaan in 2023. The Ishaqzaade actress, in an interview with Indulge Express, had once recalled losing her baby nine weeks before Zehaan was born. In her words:
“There’s one thing I never told everyone. I did have a miscarriage before Zehaan. What should I tell you about that feeling? It’s impossible to describe it. It was a pregnancy, I lost the baby after almost 9 weeks. That loss was extremely difficult.”
She has been managing work and motherhood like a boss after the birth of her first child, Zehaan. She shared that having the right support system was important that balancing hectic shooting schedules and parenting responsibilities could be managed. Gauahar feels that pregnancy is a topic that cannot be put into words.
When Gauahar Khan was slammed for excessive weight loss after the birth of her son, Zehaan
Gauahar once appeared on the Red FM Podcast and shared that she had been slammed for her post-pregnancy weight loss after Zehaan was born. She revealed that she lost weight because of the extensive research she did and not due to customised diets or trainers. Gauahar did reveal that she never had any form of expensive gym trainers or followed any fancy weight loss diet meant for after-pregnancy transformation. She revealed that the key to her weight loss was to not eat anything that was not good for her system and do well research. In her words:
“You know a lot of people actually told me, ‘kyun dikha rahi ho ke weight loss kiya hai? Kyun dikha rahi ho ke itna kam kar diya hai? Doosri auraton ke baare mein socho. Jo hum nahi kar paa rahi hai, tumhaare paas bahut gym trainers hai aur tumhare paas bahut’… aise bhi comments aate hain.”
