South actor and producer, Vishnu Manchu, is making headlines as the release date of his highly anticipated film, Kannappa, draws closer. Ahead of the film, the actor shared one of his ardent dreams as a director: to get to direct Bollywood’s megastar, Amitabh Bachchan. Vishnu, known for films like Mosagallu, Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda, and Denikaina Ready, recently expressed his admiration for the legendary actor. Given Big B’s previous work in Telugu cinema, Vishnu hopes to turn his dream of working with him into reality someday.

Vishnu Manchu says it’s his dream to direct Amitabh Bachchan

In a heartfelt conversation with Times Now and Zoom, Vishnu Manchu expressed his deep admiration for Amitabh Bachchan, sharing that he would love to direct him someday, if the opportunity comes. Recalling Bachchan’s powerful role in Kalki 2898 AD, Vishnu praised his performance as ‘Ashwatthama’ and acknowledged the veteran’s previous stint in Telugu cinema. He shared:

“If I had to direct, it’s a dream to cast Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. Every Indian, everybody who is Indian, has seen his work and loves it. He has worked in a Telugu film, he has worked in Kalki, he plays a character from Mahabharata, and I loved it.”

Amitabh Bachchan is undeniably one of Bollywood’s greatest stars, known for his charisma, humility, discipline, and grounded nature despite decades of unmatched success. His impact goes beyond Hindi cinema, leaving a mark on both regional and international films. Those who have worked with him have only glowing words to share.

Earlier this month, Amitabh Bachchan’s Kalki co-star Shobana shared during a live session how humble the megastar was on set. Despite wearing heavy prosthetics and his legendary stature, Bachchan made it a point to stand up and greet everyone who walked in, leaving the cast and crew deeply impressed by his grace and humility.

During Kalki promotions, veteran actor Kamal Haasan praised Bachchan as the most energetic on set, effortlessly handling intense shoots with youthful enthusiasm, making everyone forget he’s well into his eighties. Speaking at a press conference, the Vikram actor lauded his co-star as he said:

“I don’t know if I should call him a veteran or a fresh actor. He has done the film that well. It looks like the film has been made for children. Now, don’t ask how a man with white hair can enjoy such films. This film reminds you of the child that’s within every adult. This is a great attempt, and I am happy to be part of it. I am happy that this journey is going to continue.”
