Salman Khan’s brother-in-law and Arpita Khan’s husband, Aayush Sharma, a while back shared how life had its own way of slowing down in order to ensure that one listens to the body. The actor, on June 24, 2025, took to his Instagram handle to reveal of undergoing two back surgeries recently and shared a couple of pictures from the pre-operation stage to the journey to recovery. Aayush shared that for many years, he had been experiencing consistent pain in his back. It all began when he pulled off a stunt for his movie, Ruslaan, during one of the action scenes.

Aayush shared a major health update with his sea of followers and revealed how he injured his back pain, which started on the sets of Ruslaan. Little did he know that the pain he ignored, masked, thinking it was not dramatic would land him in the operation theatre. The actor shared an array of pictures from his hospital room.
He even posted videos where he spoke about how the hospital has been his second home. The clip was shot before his second surgery, and he shared how he prayed he would come out stronger and feel better. Aayush was also seen lying on the hospital bed, making a victory sign. A few of the pictures may have been taken after the surgery. A part of his caption read:
“It finally caught up with me while shooting for my current movie, and things took a turn. Movements that once felt like second nature — dancing, stunts, even the simplest stretches — became restricted. What I thought was temporary turned out to be far more serious. The biggest mistake? Taking the pain lightly and hoping it would heal on its own. But now here we are. After two surgeries, I’m officially on the road to recovery.”

Aayush, in his hospital photo dump pictures, made a mirror selfie video where he was shirtless and had worn black shorts and a cap. His pot belly was visible, and he mentioned trying to get back into shape. The actor revealed that this pause in his life, what he called a ‘phase’, taught him that good health isn’t just about a six-pack — it’s about what’s happening inside. He told his fans not to ignore the whispers that your body sends you. In his post, he thanked his team of doctors, his wife, Arpita and his two kids- Ahil and Ayat. A part of his caption read:
“Act early. Heal properly. To the doctors, thank you for the laser-sharp attention and care. To my producer @isajidqureshi & director @dir_kiran — your patience and understanding in these uncertain weeks means the world. And to my beautiful family — Arpita, Ahil, and Ayat — thank you for turning my bedrest into what felt more like a vacation than a punishment. Your laughter, love, and support have been my real medicine.”
Aayush also thanked his little son, Ahil, who had seen his papa at the hospital and told him to heal fast as Aayush’s ‘little man’ wanted his Wolverine back. Aayush revealed that he is coming back stronger for his family, himself and for all his fans who love him. It is interesting to note that Salman has not yet commented on Aayush’s post.
