Panchayat is a small part of the Indian administration system, yet a crucial aspect altogether. The series became one of the most loved shows in India after it was released on Amazon Prime in 2020, as it explained how a small choice can lead to big changes. However, without ever compromising on the entertainment. The show was created by The Viral Fever and has since created a massive fanbase, with hardcore ‘Panchayat fans’ binge-watching the entire season in one sitting and spending the rest of their time re-watching the existing seasons on loop as they wait for the series to return with another instalment.
From catchy dialogues to entertaining episodes and a deep emotional connection, the show became a comforting experience for the audience. Well, Panchayat Season 4 was recently released, and fans have already finished watching it. So, as we wait for the next season to arrive, let’s take a look at how this season ended.
Panchayat Season 4 ending explained
Panchayat Season 4 finally premiered on Amazon Prime Video on June 24, 2025, with the residents of Phulera village once again returning to the screen. Sachiv Ji, Pradhan Ji, Prahlad Cha, Vikas, Rinki, Manju Devi, Banrakas, Vinod, Kranti Devi, and more OG characters entertained the audience with their wit and acting. However, fans were at odds about the season, especially because of how the show ended. So, without any further ado, let’s take a look at what happened.
The expectations from Panchayat Season 4 were on an all-time high as the fans waited for the plot to unfold. However, the show’s ending left them kinda disappointed. For the unversed, the central point of Season 4 was the battle between ‘Manju Devi’ (Neena Gupta) and ‘Kranti Devi’ (Sunita Rajwar), who had locked horns for the position of the Pradhan. As the campaign started, things got messy, and the duo indulged in a battle filled with arguments, betrayals, and more. A series, which is popularly known for its wit and humour, lost its main content as too much seriousness overshadowed the plot.
Meanwhile, Jitendra Kumar, who essays the role of ‘Sachiv Ji’, seemed disconnected with the whole season, exploring his love for ‘Rinki’ (Sanvikaa) and preparing for his entrance exams. Lucky for him, this time, he cleared his CAT exams. However, the season seemed to drag right from the beginning. ‘Pradhan Ji’, who was shot in the previous season by a bullet, suffered from a wound on his shoulder, and ‘Sachiv Ji’ was left frustrated as he got stuck in a police case because he hit ‘Vidhayak Ji’ on his forehead. Amid this, Phulera village is preparing to vote to welcome their new head, and the battle takes place between ‘Manju Devi’ and ‘Kranti Devi’.

From promoting themselves online to going for each other’s head offline, both parties were seen at loggerheads. After all the fights, emotional blackmail, and promotions, the last scene of the last episode showed that ‘Kranti Devi’ has won the election. The result left ‘Pradhan Ji’ (Raghubir Yadav) hurt. Not able to accept the defeat of ‘Manju Devi’, he started to mess up all the sweets he had ordered beforehand to celebrate the victory. At the end, we saw that the name ‘Manju Devi’ was removed from the Panchayat office and ‘Kranti Devi’s’ name was written instead.
‘Sachiv Ji’ and ‘Rinki’ get their love story
Fans, who were waiting for the next stage of ‘Rinki’ (Sanvikaa) and ‘Sachiv Ji’s’ love story, were delighted by the end of the season. ‘Sachiv Ji’ not only cleared his CAT but also messaged ‘Rinki’ the magical three words “I love you,” and in return, he got “I love you too.” As their relationship explores the blossom of love, fans are excited to know what season 5 has in store.
