MINI ME: To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of its founder’s passing, the Florence-based brand Loretta Caponi has decided to debut a “Mini Me” collection in her honor.
The collection represents the first “Mini Me” capsule although the brand has had kidswear in its offer since 1967.
Imagery portrays three generations of women immersed in nature with a playful vibration, celebrating life in its different stages. The palette includes warm shades and earthy tones.
The collection includes 35 looks featuring dresses, trousers and shirts all adorned with floral prints, stripes or embroideries. Most of the looks are made in printed cotton poplin featuring Loretta Caponi’s signature smocking fabric technique and embroidery details.

Price points of the collection range from $300 to $550.
“The beauty and timeless essence of Nature has always been one of our main sources of inspiration, now more than ever. We admire it in every detail.” said Guido Conti Caponi, chief operating officer of the brand. “She is powerful and delicate, maternal and independent, full of wonder, yet always present. Nature is a woman. Her beauty transcends time,” he continued.
The capsule collection launch will reinforce the brand’s childrenswear line. The brand is planning a broader strategy to expand in the following years into menswear and strengthen its women’s ready-to-wear and home linens lines.
The mini-me pieces of the collection will be unveiled during international trade show Pitti Bimbo, running in Florence on Wednesday and Thursday at the Loretta Caponi bottega in Via delle Belle Donne.
