Superstar Rajinikanth is currently shooting for his much-awaited action sequel ‘Jailer 2’ in Mysore, and the buzz around the shoot is already sky-high. A viral video from the sets near Bilikere, close to Hunsurc in Karantala, shows the actor warmly waving to thousands of his fans who gathered at the location just to catch a glimpse of him.

In a classic Rajinikanth moment, the actor climbed onto his car. He waved at the sea of fans and ended the heartfelt interaction with his signature hand gesture. It was a mark of gratitude that sent the crowd into a frenzy. The video also captures police and Rajinikanth’s security team working to control the crowd as a long convoy of vehicles, including the actor and the film’s crew, drives past.

Take a look at the video:

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, ‘Jailer 2’ features an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, and Jackie Shroff. The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and it’s scheduled for a grand theatrical release in Summer 2026.

Meanwhile, rumours of Shah Rukh Khan appearing in a cameo were recently shut down by Box Office South India, which confirmed SRK is not part of the project. However, insiders suggest that a major Bollywood actor may still join the cast, though details remain under wraps.

Rajinikanth was last seen in the 2024 film ‘Vettaiyan’, where he portrayed a tough cop who eventually realises the flaws in his actions. Up next, he will be seen in ‘Coolie’, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
