Gauahar Khan reveals that she doesn’t entirely depend on a nanny to raise her son
Gauahar Khan, who is soon going to embrace parenthood for the second time, sat down for an interview with Bollywood Bubble alongside her husband, Zaid Darbar. During the conversation, she shared a heartfelt perspective on motherhood. The actress revealed that it is possible to raise a kid as a working mother in the entertainment industry if a woman has the correct support system. Gauahar emphasised that while she appreciates having support and staff, she doesn’t solely rely on them. Sharing her approach, she said:
“If you have a good support system, help honi chahiye, family honi chahiye, aapka husband aapka support system hona chahiye. Then everything is workable. I made sure that wherever I was shooting during these 2 years, Zehaan was with me. I didn’t care. I was like mere toh pocket se bhi paise jaaye koi problem nahi. Lekin, I had to know that I am bringing my child and not just (external) help.”
Gauahar, who welcomed her son, Zehaan, in 2023, added that her husband, Zaid and her child are her life. So, whatever work she does is a part of that life. Consequently, she admitted that she can put a hold on anything when it comes to her son. At the same time, the actress stated that nowadays, most of the production houses have become supportive of new mothers, and even after welcoming her second child she hopes to continue her work.
Gauahar Khan shared she had lost a baby after 9 weeks into her pregnancy
Gauahar Khan began her podcast show, MaaaNoranjan, a few weeks ago, where she revealed a deeply emotional chapter from her life that she had never spoken about in public before. The actress shared that she suffered a miscarriage before welcoming her son, Zehaan, which was a painful experience that she can’t ever express in words. Sharing her thoughts, Gauahar said:
“There’s one thing I never told everyone. I did have a miscarriage before Zehaan. What should I tell you about that feeling? It’s impossible to describe it. It was a pregnancy, and I lost the baby after almost 9 weeks. That loss was extremely difficult.”
