Malayalam-Tamil actor Mamitha Baiju’s latest video about Thalapathy Vijay’s last film is now going viral. At an event in Ireland, Baiju talked about the conversation she had with Vijay about ‘Jana Nayagan’. Vijay’s reply to her question has excited fans as it hints that he may come back to films after the 2026 elections.

Mamitha Baiju was one of the chief guests at the Kerala Carnival in Ireland. The host, speaking in Malayalam, asked her about the experience of shooting with Thalapathy Vijay in ‘Jana Nayagan’.

She replied, “One day, when we were shooting together, I asked him whether ‘Jana Nayagan’ was his last film. Vijay sir candidly said it will depend on how the 2026 elections go. He said, ‘we’ll see what happens.'”

She further added how the entire ‘Jana Nayagan’ team, including Vijay, got emotional during the final days of shooting.

“In the last days of shooting, I got very emotional. Not just me, everyone else on the set got emotional. He got emotional as well and was unable to pose for pictures,” she added.

Mamitha Baiju, however, remained tight-lipped about her role in the film. She will share the screen with Vijay in the H Vinoth-directorial. The film’s first glimpse was unveiled on his birthday, June 22.

‘Jana Nayagan’ will release in theatres on January 9, 2026.
