Bollywood actress, Nushratt Bharuccha was slammed brutally by netizens after a video from a recent event surfaced on the internet. The actress was seen asking the female volunteers to remove her shoes in a brief moment, which was captured on camera, and the internet didn’t like her action. It is worth mentioning that the event was held to celebrate International Yoga Day.
Nushratt Bharuccha slammed for asking volunteers to untie her shoe laces
Recently, Nushratt Bharuccha came under the netizens’ radar after a clip of her from an International Yoga Day event surfaced on the internet, which was organised on June 21, 2025. Nushratt was dressed up in white sweatpants with a matching jacket and blush pink-hued top underneath. She dolled herself up in subtle makeup with a flush of pink cheeks and lips. Her hair was half tied in a high ponytail.
The event was held to promote yoga for physical wellness and mindfulness. However, in the midst of several videos, one clip showed an awkward moment between Nushratt and her team. In a clip going viral, Nushratt was putting her hand on one of her team members’ shoulders and another female volunteer was seen untying her shoe laces. After which, Nushratt quickly moved aside and asked another volunteer to untie her other shoe. The volunteer immediately bends down to help her with the shoe laces. However, the footage gained widespread attention, and netizens disapproved of Nushratt’s actions.
Netizens reacted to Nushratt Bharuccha’s action
As soon as the video was shared on the internet, netizens flooded the comments section. One user wrote, “Like really she has come to do yoga but she can’t bend and take her shoe off like WOW.” Another one commented, “Unbelievable khud k haath nahi hai kya.” A third user penned, “Why someone else have to remove her shoe she herself can do it if she is that fit.” The fourth one pointed, “Ap yoga krloge apse shoes to utre nahi hai khud.”
When Nushratt Bharuccha was trolled for moving aside a model and taking her centre stage
Earlier, a video of Nushratt made it to the internet from a ramp walk. She was seen walking the ramp, and she approached a model from behind and pushed her to the side, and stood in front of her. She further went on to call the designer, held her hands, and walked on the ramp. Nushratt was brutally trolled for her actions.
However, months after the shocking incident, Nushratt addressed the trolling and shared her side of the story. In an interview with Yuvaa, the actress shared that the girl wasn’t even a model, she was one of the aspiring designers from the NIF class, and she didn’t know anything about the ramp show and the centre stage. Nushratt stated that she was told to move her aside. She said:
“She wasn’t even a model, she was one of the designers, one of the children from the NIF class, jisko ramp show, centre stage nahi pata tha. Kya karu main? She was standing in the centre, there was loud music, and mujhe piche se bola gaya tha, ‘Aap aapni jagah pe jake bane hojao.’ Aur kaise jagah banau? How do I do it? Forget being a showstopper — any model who walks knows that she walks to centre stage, then turns and walks back. Woh toh basic hai.”
