Ice Spice Goes Full Bikini Bottom in Jeremy Scott-Era Moschino Platforms at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards

Ice Spice brought Bikini Bottom to the Kids’ Choice Awards stage on Saturday, stepping out mid-show in a playful pair of SpongeBob-inspired platform heels by Moschino.

Styled by longtime collaborator Timothy Luke Garcia, the rapper paired the vibrant footwear with a glossy yellow mini dress — a full cartoon-core shift from her earlier red carpet look. The outfit nods to her upcoming role in “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants,” where she’s joining the cast and releasing an original song for the film.

She arrived at the 2025 Nickelodeon event in a sultry, corset-style Dolce & Gabbana dress from spring 2003. The piece, crafted from pink silk and leather, featured lace-up paneling and a curve-hugging midi silhouette, styled with minimalist black sandals with dainty ankle straps.

But it was her second look — introduced while she took the stage to present the musical performance of “Gnarly” by KATSEYE — that turned heads. The shoes, first seen on the runway during Jeremy Scott’s Moschino resort 2017 show in Los Angeles, are a maximalist take on cartoon surrealism.

Covered in bright pink, purple and turquoise flower motifs, the towering yellow platforms echoed the psychedelic undersea world of “SpongeBob SquarePants” — particularly the floral shapes seen on Patrick Star’s swim trunks and throughout Bikini Bottom. Finished with a flower clasp at the ankle strap and a bubble-like rounded toe, the pair encapsulates Scott’s “heightened-volume, turned-up version” of pop culture, as he described the collection at the time.

Scott’s 2017 runway show in Los Angeles was a technicolor tribute to the city’s pop culture chaos, described by the designer as a celebration of “hippie-dippy Sixties” energy and L.A.’s eclectic archetypes. The shoes Ice wore remain one of the collection’s most recognizable, meme-worthy relics.

This look also continues a growing motif in the rapper’s fashion trajectory: collectible, referential shoes that fuse fashion history with pop culture flair. Just last week, she stepped out in archival Jimmy Choo heels once made famous by “Sex and the City.” And back in March, she paired leopard peep-toes with a Vivienne Westwood bodysuit at Paris Fashion Week.

The look capped off a standout night at the 38th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards, hosted by Tyla, who wore everything from Nike sneakers to Brian Atwood heels throughout the evening. Held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, the slime-filled ceremony featured Tyla’s own performance of “Truth or Dare” and a surprise set by KATSEYE, introduced by Ice Spice herself.
