An Air India flight from Trivandrum to Delhi was cancelled on Saturday after the aircraft reported a bird hit just before landing in Trivandrum. The flight, which was arriving from Delhi, landed safely. However, airline authorities kept the aircraft grounded for detailed checks.
This same aircraft was scheduled to operate the return flight from Trivandrum to Delhi, which now stands cancelled due to the bird strike incident.
In a separate case, another Air India flight travelling from Delhi to Kochi made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram airport after running low on fuel. The aircraft landed safely, refuelled, and later continued its journey to Kochi.
