He shared his love for being compared to King Khan and revealed how he will enjoy the fandom if being addressed as the first copy of Shah Rukh Khan. During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, he shared that he would always like to be compared to SRK’s first copy, and he would not feel bad about the same. In his words:
“Mujhe koi compare agar kisi ke saath karna chaiye. Mujhe koi problem nahi hai koi mujhe Shah Rukh Khan se compare kare. Ofcourse mujhe bhi aacha lagega.”

Munawar has made his own identity in the comedy and TV industry. However, fans are unable to digest that he wanted to be called SRK’s first copy. Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Munawar shared his love for Shah Rukh Khan and revealed that he had a lot of respect for the actor and had no guts to make any jokes about him. Although he had a wish of getting an opportunity of collaborate with King Khan somewhere in the future. He revealed that he is one of the biggest fans of SRK and has never had a craze for any other actor apart from King Khan. Munawar shared:
“Unke jaisa insan..itna hazir jawab. Itna naam aur shaurat ke baad bhi unme ek alag si kashish hai. Aap bas dekhte reh jaye. “Dil se unki bohot respect karta hu. Kabhi mazak nahi bana paunga.”

Before Munawar had bagged the Bigg Boss 17 copy, social media went on a frenzy with hashtags such as Munawar For The Win, Bigg Boss 17 Winner Munawar, and Munawar Is The Boss. There was a tweet that went viral at that time that sent social media into a collective meltdown. This was because, reportedly, SRK had congratulated Munawar on reaching Bigg Boss 17’s finale week and showed his support. However, after a deep check of the facts was done, it was found that the tweet was fake and SRK had not made any such statement related towards showing support to the comedian.
