Passengers of two Air India Express flights, one from Bengaluru to Patna and another from Chennai to Patna, created a ruckus at the Patna airport on Saturday morning, after they found their luggage missing after the flights landed at the airport around the same time.
According to passengers, when the plane landed at the airport, an announcement was made regarding the belt number from which their luggage would be made available. However, upon arrival, the passengers alleged that they couldn’t find their luggage.
The Air India Express officials told the passengers that luggage was not kept on the plane due to excess weight, following which passengers started creating a ruckus at the airport. The Air India ground staff and CISF officials posted at the airport were seen pacifying the passengers.
This is the second instance within 15 days that luggage didn’t arrive on time.
“After landing at the airport, we came to know that our luggage had not arrived. The ground staff couldn’t provide any information as to when we would receive our luggage. I have to attend a wedding. Now I don’t know how I will attend it,” said a passenger.
Passengers were seen in a distressed condition at the airport after they couldn’t receive their luggage. Some passengers had to board a connecting flight, creating more trouble for them.
