Keke Palmer was seeing red in Balmain sandals during an appearance at the 5th Annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Friday night.

For the event, the “One of Them Days” actress opted for a pair of “Lip” stilettos from Balmain in the rouge colorway. The style features a suede upper and is characterized by its square toe-box design. The crisscross strap features a lip embellishment. While the back of the silhouette couldn’t be seen completely due to the length of the actress’ dress, it’s likely the shoes featured a 4-to-5-inch stiletto, as that is the height range Palmer typically prefers for upscale events and appearances.

Palmer paired her fiery stilettos with the brand’s Face Motfif Maxi dress, which retails for $6,770, and features a side slit, beaded trim detailing and sequin detailing to match. The halter neckline accentuates the shoulders and torso, and there is a textured tace embroidery present on the front that makes the piece stand out.

Palmer’s look for the evening was a collaboration with her stylist, Molly Dickson. The two have been tapping into their roster of vintage pieces as of late. Another example of this was Palmer’s appearance in New York City this week, where she was spotted wearing metallic gold sandals that featured a sky-high stiletto, a platform sole, a mirrored finish and a slender ankle strap that paid homage to early 2000s styling.

She teamed those shoes with a vintage gold Versace mini dress that included a sculpted texture, an underbust cut-out and Medusa buttons along the bust and shoulder. The singer also made an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in New York City, where she shined bright in a pair of blue star-embellished Rene Caovilla Cleo sandals that included two horizontal straps along the upper, gold embellishments adorned with stars of various sizes and stiletto heel that fell with the 4-to-5 inch range.

The Cleo was designed in 1968, drawing its inspiration from a Roman bracelet. The look also included a 2002 haute couture dress from Versace, once again paying homage to retro styling from the early 2000s.

The Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards are an annual event founded by Jason Lee that celebrates individuals and organizations that have made a significant impact on culture and community. This year’s event honored Palmer, Don Lemon, Fantasia and Vic Mensa, with Babyface serving as the musical director for the evening.
