Aamir Khan’s latest film, Sitaare Zameen Par, which released in theatres on June 20, 2025, has been receiving a lot of praises for its story and emotional depth but the most special praise has to be by ‘Ishaan Awasthi’ from Taare Zameen Par. Recently, Darsheel Safary took to his Instagram Stories and penned a heartfelt review for Sitaare Zameen Par, which is considered as the sequel of Darsheel’s debut film, Taare Zameen Par.
Darsheel Safary wrote an emotional and heartfelt review
After watching the film, Sitaare Zameen Par, Darsheel Safary couldn’t stop himself and took to his Instagram Stories to share his feelings on the film, and his feelings touched the hearts of many online. He called the film an experience that left him with a “fuller, softer and happier” heart. His words reflected how Sitaare Zameen Par has managed to portray such a sensitive subject with grace and humour. He also encouraged everyone to watch this film in theatres as it is worth watching and it won’t be released on any OTT platform. In his words:
“My heart feels fuller, softer and happier. The film holds up a mirror with humor, grace, and heart. No pity, no preaching. Just presence, job and strength. You have to watch this in theatres!! It won’t stream. It’s not meant to. Some stories ask for silence, a screen, and your full heart. You’ll walk in curious and walk out a little more human.”

Darsheel Safary’s review can be described as a full circle moment of his life. Years ago, he starred in the film, Taare Zameen Par, a film that started conversations like this in the world. Darsheel played the role of ‘Ishaan Awasthi’, who was a Dyslexic child. Now, years later, when he is an adult, he is writing a review about the film that is a sequel to his debut film, which also stands in support of the previous film and takes the conversation ahead.
