Sunjay Kapur left for his heavenly abode on June 12, 2025, leaving his loved ones devastated. The 53-year-old business tycoon was playing a game of polo when he collapsed. As per multiple reports, Sunjay Kapur inhaled a bee in the middle of his game, and it stung him, choking his windpipe, ultimately leading to a cardiac arrest.
The news of Sunjay Kapur’s death came as a shock to many, who couldn’t believe it. Sunjay’s last rites are being held in New Delhi on June 19, 2025, and his ex-wife, Karisma Kapoor, will also attend to pay her respects to the deceased along with their kids, Samaira and Kiaan. It has been a disturbing period for Karisma and her kids.

Sunjay and Karisma were also seen taking blessings from Rishi Kapoor, who looked overwhelmed with emotions.

Sunjay and Karisma embraced parenthood and became parents to Samaira and Kiaan. While Karisma and Sunjay’s wedding looked happy, the couple shocked everyone when they filed for a divorce in 2014 with mutual consent. Karisma and Sunjay’s divorce case turned ugly when she accused the businessman of domestic violence. As per Mumbai Mirror, the businessman mentioned that she married him for financial gains in a ‘calculated and clinical’ manner. After a lot of drama, Karisma and Sunjay decided to resolve the matter amicably, and the couple was granted a divorce in 2016.
