Karisma Kapoor yet again proved that she is a perfect mom as she became a pillar of strength for her children, Samaira and Kiaan as they lost their father, Sunjay Kapur. Karisma let all the bygones be bygones, and attended the final rites of her ex-husband, and even paid a floral tribute to him. Now, in another heart-wrenching photos, the young boy, Kiaan broke down at the funeral of Sunjay Kapur.

No amount of words can ever lessen the pain of a grieving heart, especially if the loss is seen at a young age. Kiaan and Samaira attended their father’s last rites, and the pain was clearly visible in their eyes. In the photos shared by Instant Bollywood, the young boy, Kiaan, was dressed up in a white kurta, and he broke down at the funeral. His mother, Karisma, held him in her arms and consoled her.
We also saw Kareena Kapoor Khan dressed up in a white suit with her hair tied at the back and donning a pair of shades. She looked emotional seeing her nephew. Saif Ali Khan was standing right beside her as they paid respect to Sunjay Kapur.
In another clip shared by a photographer’s page on Instagram, Karisma was seen dressed up in a white suit, donning eyeglasses, and her hair was left open. She paid a floral tribute to her ex-husband at the funeral. Their daughter, Samaira and their son, Kiaan, were seen standing right beside her. They also accompanied her in paying the floral tribute to their late father. Several well-wishers and family members were spotted at the funeral at the Lodhi Road Cremation Ground, New Delhi.
In the morning, Karisma was spotted at the private airport with her kids as she headed for the funeral of her ex-husband. Later, we also spotted Karisma’s sister Kareena and her husband, Saif Ali Khan, accompanying her.
Sunjay Kapur’s death was caused by a bee sting
According to close sources, Sunjay Kapur was playing polo at the Guards Polo Club when he felt it difficult to breathe and was suffocated mid-game. He requested to stop the game and then left the ground. Soon, he suffered a heart attack and died. An insider also revealed that Sunjay Kapur reportedly swallowed a bee, and it could be that the bee sting in his throat caused a heart attack. It is worth noting that Sunay Kapur had a polo team called Aureus, in which he served as a patron. The businessman was playing against Sujan, a team led by a hotelier named Jaisal Singh.
Karisma Kapoor and Sanjay Kapur’s story, which ended inan ugly divorce
For those who don’t know, Karisma Kapoor tied the knot with Delhi-based businessman, Sunjay Kapur in 2003. It all happened after her broken engagement with Abhishek Bachchan. They also have two children together. However, after ten years of togetherness, Karisma ended her marriage. It resulted in an ugly divorce battle and a lot of blame games. As a result, the couple was granted a divorce in 2016.
It was reported that Karisma tied the knot with Sanjay after the continuous insistence of her mother, Babita Kapoor. On the other hand, her father, Randhir Kapoor, was always against the union. In a media interaction, Randhir had called Sanjay a third-class man. After the divorce, Karisma got custody of her kids.
