MediaLink and UTA’s Executive Evening was one of the most star-studded fetes of Cannes Lions 2025 — where business VIPs and celebs gathered at the luxe Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc to see hit comic Sebastian
Maniscalco poke fun at Jeff Bezos, Amazon and other targets.
“I see [Jeff] Bezos when he came out about 30 years ago. This guy was a nerd, a complete nerd,”
Maniscalco told the crowd including Patrick Schwarzenegger, Paris Hilton, “Queer Eye” star Antoni Porowski and rapper Ludacris. “You see what this guy looks like 1750305343? That’s beautiful. That’s gorgeous. That’s 400 billion bucks… shredded on his yacht in the Mediterranean.”
Maniscalco also joked of Amazon, “You ever get a huge box like, ‘Oh, my God, what did we order?’ It’s coming in this big box. I opened it up. One dental floss at the bottom of the box with air bags. This Bezos is a genius.”
The comic also took aim at the famed “du Cap,” a luxury hotel known for attracting royals, aristocrats and A-listers.
“This is the first time I’ve ever been to this hotel,” he said. “And when you check in, they give you a piece of paper on how to behave at this hotel. You can’t wear flip flops in the restaurant. You can’t walk around the park with open alcohol. You can’t take your robe out of your room and go to the spa. All right? I feel the rules are intended for the American.”
“The French had a meeting,” he cracked. “These slobs are coming on this weekend. They’re going to be thrown up in the bushes. Put the leaflet in every room.”
The party took place by the famed infinity edge pool on a cliff that has a diving board into the Mediterranean.
“They got a diving board over here,” Maniscalco said. “If you had a diving board at a hotel, there would be a lawsuit within two minutes. Not here in France. You could break your neck, they’d take you right out of the water and throw you out on the front of the street.”
After the comedy set, Grammy winner St. Vincent took the stage at the DoorDash Ads co-sponsored event to DJ for a crowd including X CEO Linda Yaccarino, Ankler Media CEO Janice Min, actor Josh Duhamel and influencers Alix Earle and Jake Shane.
