While much of Adidas’ recent headlines have been centered around decades-old sneakers such as the Samba, Superstar and Gazelle, the brand is still making plenty of strides with new designs. From the 3D-printed Climacool to Pharrell Williams’ upcoming Jellyfish collaboration, there are several recently and soon-to-be-released designs that have fans talking, and it looks like there could be yet another potential hit on the way courtesy of the Herzogenaurach, Germany-based sportswear company.
Seen in images shared Thursday on social media by photographer Tyler Mansour is the Adidas Megaride AG. The new model leans heavily into 2000s aesthetics, using Adidas’ Megaride vis-tech cushioning in a new capacity. An info card shared by Mansour dubs the Model Mega X, but the photographer later clarified the model is known as the Megaride AG. Previewed in a sample colorway, it’s said to be just one of 60 pairs produced for the debut style.
Aesthetically, the low-top, running-inspired silhouette mixes mesh and synthetic for a look that is both futuristic and on-trend. This particular colorway mixes a neutral palette of white, gray, silver and yellow. Its key feature is, of course, its underfoot Megaride technology, which updates Adidas’ 2000s vis-tech concept with a new structure.

The original Megaride sneaker was reissued in 2024 and the Y2K-informed tech has since found its way into soccer cleats turned lifestyle shoes such as the Predator Megaride. Adidas has even released a Mary Jane version of the sneaker dubbed the Megajane.
While the Megaride AG isn’t an entirely new innovation, it could be fresh enough to captivate fans of the 2000s style. Early reactions to Mansour’s social media share have been overwhelmingly positive.
Other recent Adidas launches of note include a collaboration with Edison Chen’s Clot label on a Stan Smith, a Hermanos Koumori x Ultraboost 5 collaboration and a Samba decked out in removable shoe charms.
A release date and pricing for the Adidas Megaride AG have not been announced, but more details are expected soon. Readers can preview the new design below.
