Metro… In Dino is a film produced by Bhushan Kumar and Anurag Basu, set across India’s metro cities and exploring stories of love, connection, and second chances in today’s fast-paced world. The film serves as the final chapter in Basu’s hyperlinked relationship trilogy, following Life in a… Metro and Ludo. Among its various narratives is the relationship between Neena Gupta and Konkona Sensharma’s characters, portraying a mother and daughter, a role Konkona described as deeply special on both personal and professional levels.

Talking about her experience of working with Neena, Konkona shared, “I loved working with Neena Gupta. She’s such a legend. She’s an icon! I’ve always been such a fan of hers. Her personality, her fashion style, the way she’s lived her life, and of course, her performances. I was thrilled to be playing her daughter.”
Reflecting on their working dynamic, she added, “She’s very understanding, and her attention to detail is amazing. We had a couple of intense scenes together, and she always looked out for me even off the set. She would give me little feedback here and there, and I always felt very comfortable around her. We had worked once on a film about 20 years ago, which sadly never released, and once on an ad. But this time we actually had the space to build a relationship and an emotional arc between our characters. I really enjoyed it.”
With its music, grounded narratives, and ensemble performances, Metro… In Dino brings together a diverse cast including Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta, and Saswata Chatterjee.
