Sekhar Kammula’s upcoming film ‘Kuberaa’, starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh, is officially ready to hit theatres on June 20, 2025. The film has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a UA certificate and a runtime of 181 minutes in Telugu and 182 minutes in Tamil. However, CBFC trimmed 19 scenes from the film, cutting out almost 14 minutes from the original runtime.

Ahead of its release, ‘Kuberaa’ was reviewed by the CBFC, where several scenes were trimmed from the final cut. According to a report by Andhra Box Office, 19 visuals have been removed, totalling a cut duration of approximately 13 minutes and 41 seconds. The trimmed footage includes scenes featuring the lead stars Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna, and Jim Sarbh, who play Deva, Sameera, Deepak, and Neeraj respectively.

Interestingly, a scene involving all three principal characters—Deva, Sameera, and Deepak (played by Nagarjuna)—in a cab ride was also trimmed. The pan-India project, which has been simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil, will be released in three languages—Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. Produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, and presented by Sonali Narang, the film features music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

The trailer of ‘Kuberaa’ was released recently and has gained traction, keeping fans excited. The trailer showcases Dhanush as a beggar who dreams of wealth worth crores. Nagarjuna, appearing in a layered role, declares that in this country, only money and power matter, not ethics or justice. Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna appears to play a supportive character who believes in Dhanush.

‘Kuberaa’ is one of the most anticipated films of 2025. The film also features Dalip Tahil, Sayaji Shinde, Divya Dekate, Hareesh Peradi, and several others as part of the supporting cast and is set to release in theatres on June 20.
