Hollywood actor Jonathan Bailey, best known for his portrayal of Lord Anthony in ‘Bridgerton’, shared why he chose to sign ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’. Starring alongside Scarlett Johansson, he will be portraying a palaeontologist, Dr Henry Loomis.

In an interview, Bailey recalled an old incident as to why he was attracted to the franchise. “I was five years old when my family took me to Jurassic Park, so a slightly questionable choice by my parents, given that it was PG-13,” he told News18.

He further added, “I remember it was kind of spiritual, not only because of the vision and the fantasy, but because it spoke to something about the modern world’s relationship to the past and nature. The characters were so vivid and playful, the writing was so taut, and because it was Spielberg, it was a sumptuous escapist delight.”

“The John Williams score! How do you rank the John Williams scores? I’m literally paid to say this now, but I do think it’s number one,” Bailey explained.

Jonathan Bailey and the cast of the upcoming film attended a special premiere in London on Tuesday. During the same interview, he opened up about the character he’s set to play – Dr Loomis – and his connection to actor Sam Neill’s Alan Grant.

Jonathan Bailey said, “To carry forward the baton of Alan Grant is special. And to play Henry, who embodies the love of nature and our best curiosities about it, was great fun. David Koepp’s script was exciting and so fascinating in its ideas. It struck a chord in the part of me that’s a bit of a nerd.”

Helmed by award-winning filmmaker Gareth Edwards, ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ will premiere globally on July 4. The film’s cast also includes Mahershala Ali.
