Priyanka Chopra and her brother Siddharth Chopra mourned the passing of their uncle, Raman Rai Handa, who was Mannara Chopra’s father. They shared heartfelt messages on their Instagram Stories, paying tribute to their ‘fufaji (uncle)’.

Priyanka wrote, “You will forever remain in our hearts. Rest peacefully, Raman uncle (fufaji). Om Shanti.” Siddharth shared a message originally posted by Mannara, adding, “Will miss you, Raman uncle (folded hands emoji).”

Mannara’s father, Advocate Raman Rai Handa, passed away on Monday in Mumbai at the age of 71. She shared an official statement on her Instagram Stories that said, “With deep grief and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved father who departed for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025. He was the strong pillar supporting our family.”

The last rites are scheduled for June 18 at 1 PM at the Crematorium Ground in Amboli, Andheri West, Mumbai. Raman Rai Handa practiced law at the Delhi High Court. He is survived by his wife, Kamini, and his daughters, Mannara and Mitali. According to the news agency ANI, Raman had been unwell for several days due to undisclosed reasons.

Mannara debuted in Bollywood with the film Zid, which failed to make a significant impact at the box office. After that, she ventured into the South Indian film industry. She has also appeared on Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 17 and Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment Season 2.

Priyanka is set to star in Heads of State alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. She will also portray a 19th-century Caribbean pirate in The Bluff. Fans can look forward to seeing her in the much-anticipated web series Citadel Season 2, which was originally planned for release this year but has now been delayed to debut in spring 2026. Additionally, reports suggest Priyanka will feature in SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film alongside Mahesh Babu.
