Netflix’s upcoming romance drama ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’, headlined by R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh, is set to premiere on July 11. The announcement was made on Tuesday along with a brand-new poster featuring the lead pair. The film is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment.
A heartwarming family drama, ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’ celebrates companionship, connection, and the quiet beauty of discovering “barabari wala pyaar” (an equal kind of love) in the most unexpected of circumstances.
The story follows Shrirenu (R Madhavan), a reserved Sanskrit teacher, and Madhu (Fatima Sana Shaikh), a lively French instructor, as their worlds collide in a tale that blends romance with themes of family, belonging, and self-discovery.
Sharing his thoughts on the film, director Vivek Soni said, “Aap Jaisa Koi is about breaking free from the walls we build around ourselves. It’s about embracing the awkwardness and vulnerability of love. Working with Netflix again after Meenakshi Sundareshwar has been a fulfilling experience.
