In a powerful celebration of courage, music, and national pride, Doordarshan, Waves,and producer Sandeep Singh marked the 100th episode of their acclaimed patriotic television series Fauji 2 with the launch of the emotionally charged Fauji 2.0 music album —a heartfelt tribute to the Indian Armed Forces and the martyrs of the recent Pahalgam attack.
Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest, actor Manoj Bajpayee added weight and warmth to the evening. Known for his commitment to meaningful cinema and his consistent support of emerging talent, Bajpayee said , “Sandeep is a dear friend of mine for the last 20 years. I’ve always supported newcomers—some even jokingly call me a casting director because I keep recommending new talent. In an industry where relationships come and go, Sandeep has always stayed true. This project reflects that same sincerity.”

Hosting the evening was Meera Chopra, who made her debut as an anchor, lending dignity and emotional depth to a night that paid tribute to India’s unsung heroes.
The newly launched 10-song album is a powerful blend of emotion and artistry, featuring a stellar lineup: Sonu Nigam, Rekha Bhardwaj, Kunal Ganjawala, Javed Ali, Pratibha Singh Baghel, Ravi Tripathi, Shahzad Ali, Jazim Sharma, Abdul Shaikh, and rising stars Zaid Darbar and Pavneet Singh.
The highlight track, “Bagheera,” stands out as a roaring anthem of resilience and remembrance. It marks the directorial debut of Zaid Darbar, who shared, “I always thought of myself as someone who would just feature in videos. But Sandeep sir saw something more—he saw a director in me. I’m grateful for this opportunity to express my vision through Bagheera.”
Pavneet Singh, the breakout musical artist who leads the album visually and vocally, said, “I come from an army family, and this project is deeply personal. I’ve been struggling in the Punjab music and acting scene for six years, waiting for a chance. With Bagheera, I just poured my heart into it. Thank you, Sandeep sir, for believing in me.”
The event also marked the successful journey of Fauji 2 completing 100 impactful episodes on Doordarshan. Since its debut, the series has earned praise for its blend of dramatized storytelling and real-life inspiration drawn from the Indian Armed Forces.
“Fauji 2 is my tribute to the Indian Army’s courage and sacrifice. Inspired by their stories , I created this series and album on a grand scale. I’ve always believed in giving fresh talent a chance—like Abhay Verma, who started out in Safed, and now 15 newcomers from across India have been introduced in Fauji 2.0 . With talents like Pavneet Singh, new singers, and debut directors like Zaid Darbar, this project blends honesty and energy. Fauji 2.0 is more than content —it’s a commitment,” said Sandeep Singh.
Gauahar Khan, who stars in the visual storytelling of the album, added, “This album isn’t just music—it’s a living tribute. It keeps the memory of our soldiers alive through every word and frame.” Vicky Jain reflected, “Being part of Fauji 2.0 gave me the opportunity to contribute to something that truly matters. It’s been an emotional and unforgettable journey.” Ankita Lokhande shared, “To be part of a project that celebrates real heroes, not just reel ones, is deeply humbling. Fauji 2 will always be special to me.”
