Aaishvary Thackeray is the son of Smita Thackeray and Jaidev Thackeray, one of the most influential families in the country. He is the great-grandson of Shiv Sena founder, Bal Thackeray. However, despite their deep familial roots in politics, Aaishvary found solace in the creative fields. He has spent the last five years honing his craft and preparing for his dream acting debut.
Aaishvary Thackeray’s journey in the acting world began as an assistant director to Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the 2015 film Bajirao Mastani, starring B-Town favourite couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Now, the wait for his much-awaited debut is over, and Aaishvary will be making a debut as an actor with Nishaanchi.

The film was officially announced by the makers on June 12, 2025, through an animated motion video. The film is backed by Amazon MGM Studios. They took to their official Instagram handle to announce that their upcoming theatrical release, Nishaanchi, will hit the big screens on September 19, 2025. Nishaanchi is expected to portray the complex lives of two brothers who end up on polar opposite paths. Along with Aaishvary, the film will also feature Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Kumud Mishra in pivotal roles. They penned an intriguing caption along with the post which read:
“Lights Camera Action. Yeh fillam dekhne ke liye taiyyar ho jao (Get ready to watch this film). #Nishaanchi, releasing at a theatre near you, September 19.”
